SHC Intermountain has had a long battle with their equipment. As technology changes and protocols improve telemedicine will grow beyond our comprehension. Although ISDN lines are more accessible in rural areas, they are very difficult to troubleshoot when problems arise.  It is difficult to be sure if the problem is from the Video Codec (Card that allows us to see and be seen by the others at the other computer), the ISDN lines, the long distance carrier, the Windows NT operating system or the other software that helps the hardware to work.
